Tornado

High-speed production of croissants

The Tornado is a high-speed machine for the production of unfilled croissants. Achieving an output of more than 36 000 croissants per hour, the Tornado establishes a new speed record.

Besides the high production capacity, a further highlight of the Tornado is the quick and easy changeover to different product sizes. To change the machine for a different triangle size takes only 30 minutes, because no complicated operations are necessary.

The function principle of the Tornado is based on the well-know Spira. A high-speed rotary turning device picks the triangles and turns and deposits them on the belt with the base in front. Subsequently the tips of triangles are moistened and the curled into croissants. The advantage of moistening is that they do not open after curling.

The Tornado accepts dough bands of 700 and 900 mm width. Due to its variable height of the transfer belt (600 - 1 000 mm) the Tornado can be integrated into any existing production line. The Tornado is available in a basic version (up to 21 000 pcs. / hour) and a high-speed version (more than 36 000 pcs. / hour)
